Evaluating Cache of Info & Source:
[Preface written with the metaphorical theme of this blog in mind and a Jungian eye toward dreams and opposites.]
Brace yourself: Entering nightmare territory, rough terrain ahead. Approach with caution. Stark truth may be glaring, and if apprehended, staggeringly alarming. Stress hormones may surge. Apparent distortions and impossibilities may be confusing or repelling. Cognitive dissonance may close your eyes ...to hazards. Wake up! Eyes on the journey. Don't lose your footing, carelessly. Let us avoid disasters with foresight, whenever possible. Opinions expressed may be black versus white, contrary or offensive. You may disagree, as I often do. Don't be dissuaded. Go ahead. Take the plunge. Explore the shadows ...with discernment. Compare and contrast with other views.
Often, this burly, brutish, bombastic messenger appears as a wild man crying out in the wilderness; a heyoka clown rattling your cage; a ranting, raving lunatic (with good reason, upon eventual closer scrutiny) ...as out of a nightmare, some kind of beast! A wild archetype has come to life to scare the ...complacency... right out of you and me. The messenger is forceful, prickly without, sensitive within, intelligent, lucid, factual, logical, sure-footed, unabashedly emotional, flamboyant, aggressive, abrasive, also bull-headed, split-minded (all or none).
Don't be repelled. Draw nigh to resistance, as it is invariably the chink through which enlightenment and expanded consciousness are attained. Doses of anti-thesis are the antidote of thesis: Dialectics (Observed by many more than Marx/Otherwise known as the creative process). We have here an iconoclast. Paradigm buster. Mind opener. Consciousness raiser. Flames searing away "conditioning," potentially yielding a new and more accurate perspective. Don't be swept away by the undertow (anti-thesis) either (splitting). Splitting leads to division. Divided we fall (psychologically as individuals and as a people). Weather the crashing tides. Endure and negotiate the tension of and confusion engendered by opposites clashing, digest and synthesize, instead.
Alex (the man) carries left brain (right wing) material concerns (of property and gold) as well as right brain (left wing) cares (social and freedom of movement), though he leans toward the right wing (left brain). (See Herrmann.) He appears to be a libertarian with a heart (social conscience). He loves (innocent) puppies (so do I), but draws the line at (predatory) polar bears (which I don't). He is clearly anti-authoritarian, a rebel. He is apparently anti-corruption within any camp and pro-full-naked truth. He is a bold and (typically) imperfect human being with a passionate cause. He is a heretic. History often proves heretics to be heroes. He is an info-warrior.
So, all that said, what is going on here? I can hardly believe my eyes, my ears. Could this be? What is? What isn't? Information? Disinformation? Fact? Fiction? PR? (Go ahead: Google it! Explore!) Sifting. Shifting. Expelling. Absorbing. Disintegrating. Integrating. Synthesizing (right brain mode). An apparent line between light and dark, good and evil is beginning to blur; something new up ahead. What is it? Eyes wide open! Be brave! Search for the baby, as if life depends upon it, for it very well may. Throw nothing out, indiscriminately. Find and collect gold nuggets of truth, to the right, to the left and to the middle. Truths here may be keys to potential dissolution of age-old impediments to world peace and prosperity. And the Truth shall set us free...at last!
Return to the Info-war zone frequently for recurring nightmare updates. Repetition compulsion yields learning, creation (synthesis)...potentially. (I must say in parting that I do hope that I awake to find things are not as they seem, all is well and that I have been merely roused by phantoms in the night. Fat chance.)
