Attakullakulla

(Attakullakulla),
A great man.

He sailed upon a foreign boat
To be a spectacle
Before a curious people
And to be wined and dined,
As were others before him.

And the light thereof
Of the far off land
Dazzled him
And blinded him.
And he bowed his knee
Unto the Dragon!

And in time
A dark cloud

Of sorrow and regret
Overshadowed him
And his people,
(Attakullakulla).

*Note:

is the name Attakullakulla written in the letters of Sequoyah.

Also note a strategy that brought down the Cherokee Nation: "...They encouraged the chiefs to buy more than they could afford, so that the chiefs owed the United States government a lot of money. Then the United States government insisted that the Cherokees pay up, and forced the Cherokees to pay in land...."
